I’m vehemently anti Generative AI.
I’m not against ALL AI.
Video games, for example, wouldn’t work without AI controlling the NPCs, but I’d say that the art assets, and heck, even the code should be human made human art.
I’m also against the AI witch hunts.
I mean, yes, I don’t think people should use Gen AI.
I block people who use it. I don’t read AI books, listen to AI music, or look at AI images. I hate when people lie, say they made it when they had AI generate it.
But, I don’t want people to dog pile on people who might not actually be using Gen AI. I don’t even want people to go after people who use it.
Gen AI users are outside my circle, I’m outside there’s, and we’re both happier that way.
I think they’re horribly wrong, sure.
Criticism, even some insults, sure, they dish it out, they should be able to take it, but I don’t even want them bullied.
Bullying is being mean just to be mean.
It’s not bullying to call out someone for doing something bad like using Gen AI.
I had a friend.
HAD.
After ten years of friendship Gen AI arose. We were on opposite sides. We were both filmmakers, writers. He liked it, but I am against it.
I told him I thought it was unethical because it was made with pirated data, and it did all the work. Not to mention the environmental implications and the science that says it damages the people who use it.
He tried to talk me into being more open to Gen AI.
It was one of the few things we disagreed on. I thought we could still be friends, most friends I have some disagreements with. But, one day out of nowhere he ghosted me.
So I don’t know if it was about our disagreement about Gen AI. He stopped texting back but he’s active on social media.
I’ve moved on. But, it hurt.
But, it’s that important to me that I stick to my own principles and stand against Gen AI, even if it costs me friends.
Our last big discussion was about Gen AI. So, that’s the only thing that comes to mind when I think about why he ghosted me.
But, I digress.
I’m going to start a new project as soon as my mouth has recovered from getting some teeth pulled.
One of my favorite shows growing up was Bob Ross’ Joy of Painting.
I’m no Bob Ross.
I’ve got nothing to prove to anyone that my art is genuinely human made.
BUT!
I think streaming my art on Twitch for a couple hours every weeknight could be fun and help me build a community, an audience for my art and books.
I’ll be drawing my Duke Sidus Webcomic and illustrations for my books.
I also want to show how easy and fun it is to pick up a pencil or a stylus and draw.
If you use Gen AI, you’re depriving yourself of all the benefits of creating art!
The image at the end is almost a bonus.
I mean, yes, it’ll be nice to have pictures I drew to show people, maybe sell prints and T-shirts or other stuff.
But, for me, for an artist, the Joy is in the Painting. In the process. When you have an AI do the process, you’re hurting yourself. That’s just a taste of how it might be like during my show.
Hahaha 🤣😂. It won’t ALL be anti Generative AI rants, I promise.
I wanted to do gaming on Twitch, spent hours trying to get over 400 mods to load together in Starfield, just for it to not even start a new game.
That really sucked.
Now I need to go through all 400+ mods to see which one(s) is/are bugged. Ugh. Anyway, that gave me the clarity to realize that I’d rather keep gaming as a hobby. Not everything has to be monitized. 🤣
I did study art in college, Graphic Design at International Academy of Design and Technology, one term of Game Art at Westwood College, Art at Valencia College before I flunked out because I failed pre-algebra twice. I also studied Film at Full Sail, but never graduated because I’d been to college so long and that school was expensive. With this show on Twitch, I’ll be monitizing what I studied in college! 😃😭
I didn’t waste my time in college! 😝
I’m disabled and on SSI. I can’t change being Disabled, but I am allowed to work while on SSI. I’m trying to create a career for myself, maybe even a way to support myself so I no longer need to have SSI. That’s the dream, anyway.

I’m not even sure what to call my show yet. I do know that I want it to be weeknights from 5pm to 7pm/ 8pm EST. People will be out of work. Kids out of school. My art isn’t little kid friendly, but it’s also not terribly gory, so maybe mostly PG-13. But my books can get pretty violent, the first one I’ll be illustrating is about a immortal warrior who fights a lot.
I’ll be posting more about the show when my mouth heals and I feel up to talking during the time I’m drawing 😬🙊😁.
Stay tuned.
